Passenger ferry "Princess Anastasia" appearance changed at BLRT Grupp shipyard
Tallinn Shipyard, affiliated company of BLRT Grupp, completed repair and painting works of the ship "Princess Anastasia", as a result of which the ferry acquired a completely new appearance.
During the ship's stay at the shipyard, main engine repair, replacement of pipelines, heating and ventilation systems repair works were completed. But the main work was the painting of the shipboards.
"Orders for such works are very rare, because basically ships have a simpler coloring. This project was incredibly interesting for us. Our specialists, together with the representatives of the ship owner and Italian designers, completely changed the appearance of the ferry. According to the idea of designers, each board of the ship was painted corresponding to the national character of both countries - Italian and Russian motifs were used. We can be proud of the result," says Vladislav Tyshkevich, Tallinn Shipyard’s project manager.
The ferry left the shipyard at 5:30 pm on March 31 and went to a regular service already on April 1.
The passenger ferry, 177 meters long and 28 meters wide, accommodates more than 2,500 passengers and about 580 vehicles. "Princess Anastasia" serves the line St. Petersburg - Helsinki - Tallinn - Stockholm - Helsinki - St. Petersburg. The operator of the ship is the Russian-Italian company MOBY SPL.
